Hello 2013!

One of my resolutions is, I'm sure you can guess, to start concentrating on updating my blog again (I'm sure you can forgive me for not blogging on New Years Day, I wasn't feeling my best!)

This year is going to be my fresh start, I've finally moved to London, details of which I'll divulge at a later date! I feel like 2013 is my time to start a new life and I hope you come along the ride with me.

My New Years Eve is, naturally, the first subject of many posts. It was a very chilled affair, I hate the expectation to have fun on NYE, last year I did the big London fireworks and while they were beautiful once you've been through those crowds once, you don't need to do it again.

So I trotted my bottom off to Bristol where Lucy and Fleur live and we decided to dress up and have a cocktail party at home and see in New Years in the warm with a glass of champers (cava, same thing!) with my lovely friends.

Lucy's dress is from Urban Outfitters

My dress is this little number from the Urban Oufitters sale

Jools Holland to bring in the new year

In the morning we went for a thoroughly necessary fry up to cure our hangovers!

I had such a lovely time and I now think staying in is the new going out for NYE, does that make me old?!

We managed to fit in a little shopping and I picked up an absolute bargain in Urban Outfitters, the dress I wore for NYE (pictured above) was a cheeky little find, originally £50 I managed to get it for £20! I've been spending a little too much time in the sales at the moment and would highly recommend the Urban Outfitters sale! Also Aubin and Wills has some great bargains, sorry if these links force you to open those purse strings but I know that I'll be glad I have that dress when I haven't got any money left!

How were your New Years Eve's? Any other Christmas sales you'd recommend?

Summer 2012

So first I must apologise, I have been TERRIBLE at keeping this blog up! My new job has kept me busy with a hell of a lot of commuting which has meant my poor laptop has not been very well cared for recently!

My new job at the Disney Channel is really fun and I've been there for almost 2 months now, we've got some really great shows coming out soon and it's lovely to be a part of something that's actually going onto television!

This horrendous English weather is making me remember my incredible summer and I found some pictures on my phone and on my Mum's camera and thought I'd show you guys a few pictures for a little round up of my summer 2012. I promise I will try to keep this more updated, I've been to some great restaurants since working in London so I'll do a post of recommended restaurants for you!

Glossybox July and August

I've been very slow on the uptake with my Glossyboxes while I've been away in London so I've had two in the time I was away so I got two presents all together! I feel like these posts are getting a little samey so I'll quickly whizz through, show you what I got and pick out a few favourites for you!

July:

{Bex London Urban Fragrance}

{Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating line}

{Nuxe dry oil for face, body or hair}

{Monu Eye Cool Gel}

{Paul Mitchell Moisture Mist}

{Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting tinted lip balm}

This was a so so box, I really like the Paul Mitchell spray and the eye gel as they were almost full size so I felt like I was getting my money's worth. But I'm starting to feel that with these boxes I'm just getting different versions of the same fragrance, moisturiser, lip balm etc. which is to be expected after a while.

August:

{DHC Deep Cleansing Oil}

{Allesandro Pro White Brightening Nail Polish}

{Glossybox Glossy Pink Lipstick}

{Lipcote Lipstick Sealer}

{All for Eve Eve's Balm for dry, chapped skin}

{Vera Valenti Eyeshadow palette}

This box's theme was the International heroes which I think they've done well to demonstrate by bringing in brands from other countries. I'm really pleased with the Lipcote and the lipstick and the Pro White nail varnish is so good for when you're giving your nails a few days break from nail varnish to avoid the yellow look! However, who wears GREEN eyeshadow these days?! I know I moan about not getting more than just the same products in the box but really this is a stocking pressie you never use apart from for dressing up which is rare. Apart from that I think I'll get a good use out of these products.

I sound a little down on the lovely Glossybox but I really do love the idea and I'm also glad they've increased the Glossydot worth of reviews to 50 so your 5th box will always be free which isn't bad! My next one is planned to be my free one, thank goodness!!
